What Does Your Costume Say About You?

“In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.” – Mean girls

This quote is true for about 90% of the female population, but why?  Why do girls feel like they have to dress in skimpy outfits and parade around?  I don’t understand.  Of course girls like to be appreciated for their physical attributes, but me personally, I don’t need to dress in a $60 costume that shows more than what people need to see. Plus, I guarantee unless your costume is homemade, it will be duplicated, more than once at whatever Halloween Bash you attend. When I see a girl in a costume that is too revealing I think one of two things: 1. She’s a whore 2. She has no repect for herself. That is the immediate reaction for most people, I’m sure. It’s almost like prom, you need to register your costume so another girl doesn’t get the same one and “out hot” you. Pathetic. Not only that but a lot of girls really don’t know their true size, and some wear things that really ought not to. Le sigh, poor ladies.

You dress the way you want to be treated.  If you want guys to flaunt and grab, then go for it, but for me…I have more class and respect, for myself.  I know, most girls that read this are going to get extremely pissed, and talk trash, de-friend me, unfollow me, etc. but isn’t this what opinions are for?  Sure, it’s your opinion that you look “sooooo hawt” in that costume and your own free will to choose to wear it, but just imagine what others are thinking of you.

Of course, I am sure multiple people are like WTF is up with your costume. I’ll explain. See in my line of work, you have to have fun and laugh a little at your job or it can really get to you. Plus it’s freaking creative, one thing I live for.  I got hit on, a lot with blood all over my face, which totally surprised me, but it was original and definitely not copied. The second is just cute. My baby brother was “Cocky” and I decided to match him. And, I’m perfectly okay with just being cute.  I don’t have to be labeled as hot or sexy.

It just boils down to this, I love myself more than trying to show off everything I have.

Y U NO BELIEVE UNLESS IT’S ON FACEBOOK

I’ve come to the realization that people don’t believe things anymore unless it’s posted on Facebook.  What is the world coming to?  Have we really sunk ourselves that low that we only believe anything if it’s on Facebook?

Think about it; you don’t believe so and so are dating unless they make it “official” on Facebook.  Remember when “making it official” was just a simple “yes” or “no” to “will you date me?”  If a couple breaks up you don’t believe it, unless it’s posted on Facebook.  How shallow have people become?  Are we that hooked on social media that it’s twisted the way we view situations regarding people?  That’s horrible! How much of your time is consumed by talking about what so and so posted as their status, who such and such is dating/not dating, how many pictures this person put up of their self?  It’s crazy!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally addicted to Facebook.  I do not use it as a means of stalking someone to the extent of knowing every little thing they post and to this day do not receive anyone’s status updates to my cell phone.  I don’t stalk anyone that hard, and I don’t see the reason to.  That doesn’t mean I don’t care about my friends.  I care about all 985 of them in some way or another, whether we talk or not; they matter.

Facebook to me, is a way of staying connected with friends and co-workers, networking, and posting funny stuff to make others laugh.  That’s what I use my page for.  It’s being taken way too literal these days, and it’s ridiculous the amount of drama that follows with having a Facebook page.  Employers now check to see if you have a Facebook and try to snoop before you have an interview. To me, that’s ABSURD.

Not to mention the people that are getting in trouble with their career because of something that has been shared on Facebook.  I understand some information regarding their employment doesn’t need to be made public, however, posting statuses and sharing pictures that has no connection with their job; shouldn’t come with punishment.  Our First Amendment is freedom of speech. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t exclude Facebooking unless it’s been amended without We The People knowing about it.

To the people who have nothing better to do than getting others in trouble: YOU ARE PATHETIC. Go run in front of a bus.

Don’t think she’s guilty? LET HER BABYSIT YOUR KIDS!

Most of the world is in a total uproar over the verdict of the Casey Anthony Trial and I personally couldn’t agree with them more.  We have a perfectly good reason to be upset.  Today, we learned the jury put no thought about Caylee Marie Anthony into their deliberation.  Throughout this case, the defense, the prosecution, the jurors lost the real purpose of this case and that was justice for Caylee.

For months, and weeks we’ve listened to jury selection, testimony from experts and Casey’s family and friends.  We’ve heard lie after lie after lie that has spewed from Casey’s lips, and apparently in today’s judicial system it means nothing.  Even though there was phone recordings, videos, jail tapes, etc that was not enough for the jury to see straight through Casey and that makes me sick. WHO COULDN’T SEE THAT SHE KILLED HER OWN DAUGHTER? Obviously no one kidnapped her, no breaking and entering occurred. Whatever happened; the truth lies within those walls of the Anthony house.

IF this was truly an accident, why on Earth wouldn’t anyone report it;  including George, an ex policeman, he out of all of the Anthony’s should have reported such if it really happened.  Better question, why WHY WHY would you claim day after day that Caylee was STILL ALIVE if she was in fact dead and buried like a freaking family pet?  Is that how much you love your daughter Casey?  You would find her dead in the family pool, freak out, have your parents help wrap her in two trash bags complete with duct tape and dump her in the freaking swamp only when you realized the backyard was too close for comfort.

Her whole defense team is unprofessional and SICK for defending someone who could MURDER their own child.  Don’t think she’s guilty? When she’s free, have her babysit YOUR KID.

Casey, remember this EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE:  You might have escaped being convicted of murdering your daughter, but you have to live with your behavior, your lies, your deceit, and know that your daughter is NEVER coming back.  It’s sad that you now have the chance to reproduce and do this crime again.  May God have mercy on your soul.

I’m pointing the finger and suggesting DEATH.

In 2008, horror struck the nation to hear of the missing two year old from Florida, Caylee Anthony.   No one wanted to believe the horrible things that followed her vanishing.  One of those was her mother, Casey Anthony, 22 at the time, had something to do with her disappearance.   Caylee’s remains were found five months after she went missing, and of course all fingers pointed to her mother.

Reported IM conversations have been posted online from May 2008 between Casey and her then boyfriend (of whom she moved in with conveniently after Caylee was missing).  It speaks of her calling Caylee, “the little snot head” and him calling her, the “offspring.”  There is no words to describe the disgust I have for this girl.  The conversations talk about how depressed, sad and angry she is and has been; you can tell through the conversations that Caylee is just in the way of this 22 year olds life.  Well guess what? THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE A CHILD.  They become your everything.  It’s not about you at that point, it’s about your CHILD!

It astounds and baffles me how a mother could go 31 days without any kind of contact with their child, especially one so little.  Caylee put trust and faith into her mother to care, love and provide her with the thing she wasn’t able to provide for herself.  That is the least Casey could have done.  If Caylee was too much for her, there were other options.  I’m sure Casey parents would have taken Caylee and if not there are plenty of couples that want a child.

If you can’t tell, I have recently re-submerged myself into this case since jury selection started on May, 9th and have gone so far as to buy the book that has been published.  It has been very interesting to listen to the jury selection process.  When I have been able to watch, it’s been interesting to see the lack of emotion that Casey Anthony possesses; although she has no problem busting out in laughter.  If jury selection wraps up this week open statements will begin Monday and I’m hoping this case will continue to be projected live online.  However, jury selection was abruptly stopped today and there is much speculation as to why.  A possible plea deal? The firing of the primary defense attorney?  Guess we will find out tomorrow!

I would give anything just to be able to sit in on this trial and will be highly pissed off if it goes no where because of the national media this case has received.  She needs to be prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to death.  The pain, misery and heartache that I want her to endure is nothing compared to her judgement day.

After this is over, I will know how to be a prosecutor and a defense attorney; watch out world that is a scary thought!

Dearest of all ladies whom are psycho crazies:

Here are a few things you need to learn.

1. If you like a guy, don’t be jealous of the girls in his life; friends or family.  They are important people and deserve respect just like anyone else.  If you really want into his heart, hating on his closest friends and family isn’t the way.  Plus what guy wants a jealous girl?

• EX:  If you guys are out together and you see him talking to another girl, running up to him and slamming your tongue down his throat is wrong for two reasons.  It’s not classy and it’s very childish.

2.  If you like a guy, don’t be clingy.  Guys don’t want to be with you 24/7.  Let them have their “alone” time or their guy time.  It’s important for the both of you and the relationship.

3. If you like a guy, don’t talk ugly to him.  What person, let alone the one you like deserves to be talked down to, degraded and made to feel an inch tall?  If you are trying to get this guy to commit do you honestly think being mean is the way to do it? Seriously, if you answered yes, you need to be smacked in the head. Don’t be rude, be respectful, because if you really like him, you will respect him.

4. If you like a guy, don’t be a trashbag.  Guys don’t respect girls who throw themselves at every winkie that passes by.  Respect yourself enough to save yourself for love, for marriage, for something.  Also, save something for the imagination.  Cover yourself up.  There is a difference between, fashionable/classy and redneck, white trash/whore.  LEARN THE DIFFERENCE.

I’ve realized reading back through this blog that I’ve used the word respect a lot. Let me provide you with the definition since I think this is an important term for some people to grasp.

respect: esteem for or a sense of the worth of excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability. 

Not only should you have respect for others, but for yourself.  There are some girls out there, that need to be taught this lesson.  I came in contact with one today, hence why I felt the need to blog.  (just a note, if you do something to spark a fire in me, expect to be blogged about)  I only write what I feel.  I am blunt. Can’t handle it? suckit. JS!

May it not be too late to save a potential relationship if you are this kind of girl.  I hope you are embarrassed and GROW UP.

Word on the street is; Government Shutdown

I am so sick of the division in our government over the  past few months.   I get that things need to be cut back, but a government shutdown is NOT okay.   We have managed just fine in the past 15 years without a shutdown, so what’s the difference now? Answer: Obama. Word on the street is, Obama is telling the government to come to an agreement but does he really care?  No, I don’t believe so.

Republicans and Democrats need to put their differences aside and really think about the consequences their actions are going to cause.  This is only going to set back our economic rebound. Not to mention what this is doing to our military and their families. The men and women of this country who fight daily, not only for their own survival, but for our freedom and this is how we repay them OBAMA? WE SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN AND SUSPEND THEIR INCOME.

That is BULL CRAP!!

“They will be paid once we have money again to pay them,” the first senior administration official said. NO.  This is unacceptable.  You are going to make the military work but not pay them until its convenient for you to get over this pissing contest.  Oh but let’s be sure that the federal school lunch program will still run so the people that we continue to have to support can make sure their children can get free lunch while they go put gas in their expensive cars.

The House and Senate are acting like a bunch of childish elementary schoolers, trying to decide who to blame.  If this shutdown happens, EVERYONE in office will be blamed.  Forget about pointing the freaking fingers and figure out the situation that could jeopardize the small uphill progress that our country has made.

Sidenote:  All you people who wait until the last second to pay your taxes, all I gotta say is…HAHA no money for you if there is a shutdown!

I get to meet Mickey!!!!!!!!!

Disney World.

The only two words kids dream of hearing come from their parents mouths.  I have been waiting to hear those words since I was a child. Now, only five days away at the age of twenty-four, I am finally going to experience “The Greatest Place On Earth!”  I am so excited!!  Disney World and I have a long history and I am going to share two fun stories with you.

Story 1
Ever since I was a kid, I would see the towers up on Paris Mountain and of course being a child, that was SOOOOOOOOOO far away to me and if you look at the towers the right way, it looks like Mickey Mouse ears.  I swore that was Mickey Mouse and Disney World.  I believed it for the LONGEST time.  It was the most innocent, cutest thing I did as a child.  Every time I passed them, I would just stare out the window.

Story 2
By the time I got in my late teens, I didn’t think I was ever going to get the chance to visit Disney World.  So, I made a promise to myself that I would marry the guy that took me to Disney World.  Obviously, no guy did or I’m sure I’d be married.  But thank God for that!  I am glad that I get to experience this with my family; especially my sister and baby brother.  Of course, the perfect proposal outside Magical Kingdom has also popped in my head several times, but I don’t want to know any detail of when that amazing day might happen, for it’s definitely way in the far future.

So on Wednesday, I will be riding eight hours in the car with my two-year old brother and the best sister any girl could ever want.  I am beyond thrilled about spending time with them.  My sister and I get our own room, and I know we are just going to have a blast.  Be prepared for pictures and videos as I am sure it’s going to be a wild, crazy adventure.

Miss Self-Sufficient

I am a very independent person, probably almost too much, but I see nothing wrong with this.  It’s better for me to know now that I can support myself without the help of the opposite sex before I settle down into a serious relationship where the responsibilities are shared. I do have expensive taste, but I purchase my own things.  So for all of you who say I’m high maintenance, maybe I am, maybe I’m not, but at least I make the purchases myself.

Just like any human, I have gotten into a rough patch or two, where I had to swallow my pride and ask for help.  But it takes a lot for me to admit that.  You see, I like to think I can do it all by myself, without the help of others.  I always associate asking for help with failing.  Don’t ask me why, that is just how my twisted brain works.  I know that I am by no means a failure at anything I do, but like most people, I want to do it myself.

One area I lack at in relationships is asking for help.  I will NEVER under any circumstance ask my significant other for money, I REFUSE.  I think that is one of the lowest things that can be asked.  Remember, my brain, my thoughts so if you get offended by reading that, you need to calm down.  But even with household projects, or fixing something on my car, I just don’t press the issue.  I mean right now, I have two house projects I would like to do.  I know its going to take help from a guy, but I refuse to ask.  I mean we are talking about the girl who put her living room tables together because she refused to break down and ask someone for help.  It took me an hour or so, but I did it…MYSELF.  When I accomplish a feat like that, I feel so proud.  Just like when I complete these two housing projects, I will be proud of myself, for doing it alone.

Depending on someone else scares me, but I guess that is more on a relationship/emotional level.  You could get so close to someone, tell them your secrets, trust them with everything you have, and they can walk away.  Promises are too easy to break these days, and I don’t like that.  Wow, that just all of a sudden turned awkwardly serious. And on that note, this is over.

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

I have this rule, most people might think it’s stupid, but hey it’s not your rule; its mine.

I don’t date guys multiple times.

Perhaps you should just get it right the first time.  Is it really that hard?  I didn’t think so.  Maybe if you stopped thinking with your “second” brain and actually cared about the feelings of the person you were getting involved with, things would turn out differently.

Think I am hating on all my ex’s?  You are wrong.   I am not friends with my ex’s and definitely by no means would I date  them again.  They are ex’s for a reason, some are more crazier than others but we aren’t getting into my past.  This is just to explain why I don’t double date.

1. “Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”  I think we’ve all heard this at least once in our life, and its true.  Treat me bad one time, you get what you deserve. Treating me bad a second time; that’s all my fault for being stupid enough to be with you again.

2. Old habits never die. The things you did to annoy me the first time, probably only magnify a second time.  I’d rather not deal with your annoyances.  Also, having bad habits that aren’t healthy for a relationship are usually hard to break.  If it didn’t work out the first time because of your habits, most likely you haven’t changed and we go back to tip #1.

3. It’s always the same old freaking thing. People get to a point in a relationship where everyone gets comfortable.  This is to be expected, but things shouldn’t change because you’ve become complacent. If we stop going out, I will get bored and will stop spending time with you.  Taking away the things I’m use to doing with you isn’t a way to score points with me.  MAKE IT FUN, isn’t that part of a relationship.  Don’t let things get boring, it will end.

4. You have a mouth, use it. Communication is HUGE for me.  I must have something to talk about with you.  If you just sit there, I will smack you or leave.

5. The friend circle.  So, when you date someone, usually you hang out with their friends and they become your friends.  When you break up, you aren’t friends anymore.  Some people are immature and can’t get over things and the friendships never are the same again.  Rule of thumb:  be nice to my friends, but don’t be friends with my friends.

6. Make love, not war.  I don’t want to fight. I hate fighting.  Fighting makes people ugly and I’m not ugly.  If you want to fight, go join Fight Club not the Tabathia club.

So, if we’ve dated and you’re reading this…continue dreaming, it won’t happen.  If you are a hopeful first timer, get in line, you have a long time to wait. (:

 

side note: I have come to the conclusion that I like making lists/bullets when I blog. Yeah, I’m that cool plus ending in an even number? I’m winning like Charlie Sheen.
